Fresno 4, El Paso 0

W- Andrew Thome (4-1)
L- Dillon Overton (0-1)

Fresno home runs: Jake Marisnick (2, 2-run in 3rd), Tim Federowicz (5, solo in 4th), A.J. Reed (7, solo in 4th)

Five Fresno pitchers combined on a shutout and the Grizzlies launched three home runs at the plate.

Trent Thornton only went 3.2 innings because he took a line drive off his pitching elbow, according to Fresno communications director Paul Braverman. Thornton allowed two hits and struck out three. As a result, it was bullpen night. Andrew Thome was the first man to come on and he walked two and struck out one in 1.1 innings. Buddy Boshers struck out one in a 1-2-3 6th. Matt Ramsey allowed a hit and struck out four in two innings, and Brendan McCurry worked around a hit to finish the game, striking out one in the 9th.

All four of Fresno's runs came on the three home runs you see above. Jake Marisnick opened the scoring in the 3rd with his two-run blast, and Tim Federowicz and A.J. Reed launched back-to-back solo shots in the 4th. Jake went 2-5 and was the only player on either side to finish with a multi-hit game.

Cy Sneed will start the series finale against Walker Locket at 6:05 Mountain.

Frisco 10, Corpus Christi 5

W- Reed Garrett (1-0)
L- Yoanys Quiala (3-4)

CC home runs: Randy César (4, 3-run in 3rd)

The Hooks jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the 3rd, but the Roughriders blew them away by finishing the game on a 10-0 run.

Alex De Goti opened the scoring with an RBI single in the 2nd inning. Taylor Jones hit an RBI single in the 3rd and two batters later, Randy César launched a three-run home run. César went 2-4 to extend his hitting streak to 12 games and he also has a four-game multi-RBI streak. Jones also stole two bases, his first steals of the season.

Corbin Martin allowed a run on four hits and walked two in five innings. Frisco roughed up Yoanys Quiala and I think it's best that I leave it at that. Carlos Sierra got the last two outs of the 8th.

Cionel Perez will take on Tyler Davis at 4:05.

Carolina 6, Buies Creek 3

W- Cameron Roegner (5-1)
L- Brett Adcock (3-1)

BC home runs: J.J. Matijevic (1, 4 season; solo in 9th), Chuckie Robinson (2, solo in 9th)

Once again, a Carolina Stros rally in the late innings fell short.

All three of Buies Creek's runs came in the last two innings as Alfredo Angarita hit an RBI single in the 8th and J.J. Matijevic and Chuckie Robinson whack solo home runs in the 9th. Matijevic and Angarita both went 2-4.

Brett Adcock allowed two runs on four hits, walked two, and struck out three in six innings. Jesús Balaguer was the first man out of the Buies Creek bullpen and allowed a run on a wild pitch, a hit, walked two, and struck out two in two innings. Tanner Duncan got the 9th and allowed three runs (two earned), a two-run double, and walked three. The other run that he allowed scored on an error.

Brandon Bailey faces Marcos Diplán in the series finale. First pitch is at 2:00 Eastern.

Beloit 4, Quad Cities 3 in 11 innings

W- Jesús Zambrano (4-1)
L- Adam Bleday (2-2)

QC home runs: None.

The Banditos took the lead with three runs in the 8th inning... only to see the Snappers tie the game with a run in the bottom of the 8th and walk off with the win in the 11th.

Quad Cities loaded the bases in the 8th and got three runs out of it. Mike Papierski drew a bases-loaded walk. Miguelangel Sierra followed with an RBI single and Colton Shaver hit a sac fly. Sierra finished 2-5.

Peter Solomon pitched five innings and allowed a run on four hits, walked two, and struck out three. Dariel Aquino allowed a run on two hits, walked one, and struck out three in two innings. Adam Bleday threw three innings and allowed two runs (one inherited runner charged to him, which turned out to be the winning run) on three hits, walked three (two intentionally), and struck out four. Carlos Sanabria faced one batter and he allowed the game-winning sac fly.

Tyler Ivey will take on Bryce Conley. First pitch is at 2:00.
